IPCRO at the Launch of Rwanda Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) at Kibagabaga Hospital.

Dr. Leandre, Director of One Health at Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC), led the launch of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) 2025 in Rwanda at Kibagabaga Hospital.

Keynote on containing Antimicrobial Resistance by Dr. Albert Tuyishime, Head of the Institute of HIV/AIDS, Disease Prevention and Control (IHDPC), who served as Guest of Honour at the launch of WAAW 2025 in Rwanda.

Dr. Marie Claire Ndayisaba, Deputy Chair of IPCRO, led a hospital-simulation at Kibagabaga Hospital to teach how the “Five Moments” of hand hygiene—hand washing and hand rubbing—help contain AMR in healthcare settings.
