In 2023, healthcare Experts reflects on the critical lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges faced in infection transmission among healthcare providers and the wider community. This unprecedented global event highlighted the urgent need for robust infection prevention and control practices to protect both patients and healthcare workers from preventable infections. They come up with idea of establishing an organization named Infection Prevention and Control Rwanda Organization (IPCRO).

At IPCRO, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence in healthcare across the Republic of Rwanda. Our mission is to elevate infection control standards and improve health outcomes through innovative, collaborative efforts. We understand that effective infection control is not just a practice but a commitment to the well-being of our entire community.
